The Campfire is an area seen when selecting a character, and later visited after looping.
Here the player(s) can choose their Mutant(s), change Skins, equip or unequip Golden Weapons and select Crowns. For visual flavor, all Vanilla and some Modded Mutants are present here with animations.
Sits on a log and plays his guitar.
Sings when selected.
Stops singing when deselected.
Is always placed to the north of the Campfire
Sleeps.
Rolls over when selected.
Rolls back to the previous position when deselected.
Is always placed to the west of the Campfire.
Counts his money.
Tosses the money he was holding up into the air when selected.
Pulls out more money to count when deselected.
Sits on a tire and reads a book.
Closes the book and taps on it impatiently when selected.
Goes back to reading when deselected.
Concentrates itself in a ball of radiation.
Reforms when selected.
Morphs back into the ball when deselected.
Messes with her Portal Strike.
Equips her Portal Strike and readies herself when selected.
Goes back to messing with her Portal Strike when deselected.
Sleeps, similar to how the boss version does initally.
Wakes up and idles when selected.
Goes back to sleep when deselected.
Runs around The Campfire, bouncing off walls and props. Will push Chicken's TV out of the way.
Has the Golden Weapon sparkle and breaks walls on contact while selected. After going far enough, will sit down and never move even if unselected.
Sleeps lightly buried in the ground.
Wakes up and shakes the dirt off himself off when selected.
Burrows back in the ground when deselected.
Uniquely faces to the left.
Stands still inconspicuously.
Pulls out his Machinegun and faces towards the camera slightly when selected.
Puts away his Machinegun and returns to his former position when deselected.
Deselect animation is a reversed version of the select animation.
Tosses a ball(?) up and down.
Puts the ball(?) in his pocket and draws his Buckshot Pistol when selected.
Holsters his Pistol and returns to tossing his ball(?) when deselected.
Upon looping the player will return to the Campfire (though not necessarily the same Campfire) only to find all that all the Mutants that aren't being played are dead. If at least one Fish is present, his Guitar will spawn as well. Here's a list of all characters that will spawn corpses.
Several I.D.P.D. waves will spawn upon entering the Campfire. On Loop 3 it will include Elite I.D.P.D. and on Loop 4 onward it will exclusively consist of I.D.P.D. Freaks.
After killing them all, Throne II will emerge and the walls will disappear. When Throne II is defeated, another Loop Portal will appear and allow the player(s) to progress to 1-1.
