Bandits are the most commonly encountered enemies in Nuclear Throne, likely being the first ones you will kill every run and are seen in the majority of areas.
Behavior
Bandits do little more than walk around aimlessly, and fire randomly without actually aiming for their target. They commonly gather near Explosive Barrels, which they sometimes shoot before the player has a chance to do so.
They pose very little threat and will usually only hit the player by accident, serving as fodder to drain your resources. It's advised you do not use weapons that currently have low ammo or use high amounts of it per shot to kill Bandits.
Variants
- Camper Bandits, reskins that spawn under certain conditions in Desert.
- Hiker Bandit, a stronger version that drops a Backpack and spawns under certain conditions in Desert.
- Miner Bandits, reskins that spawn normally and provide light in Crystal Caves and Cursed Crystal Caves.
- Snow Bandits, reskins that replace them in Frozen City.
- Jungle Bandits, a more aggressive version that uses a Pop Rifle found in Jungle.
While not true variants, Divers, Assassins, Jungle Assassins and Big Bandit are also Bandits. Rebel is a playable redeemed Bandit, who can summon additional friendly Bandits called Allies.
