A set of mutations deemed to be the "Perfect" setup for the purposes of maximizing score and longevity.

A Perfect 8, less reliable to achieve is the same but with or added.
is sometimes considered another P8, but this is not widely believed.

A Perfect 9, achieved by taking Crown of Destiny or Redemption adds the other Mutation from the Perfect 8.

As is not considered an optimal character for top scoring, their potential for up to P13 is not often considered important, alongside how some Mutations are worse on Melting than other Mutants.

Ranged

A playstyle that doesn't involve Melee Weapons and instead uses two guns. Inferior to using Melee and relies heavily on dodging.

Starving

A number of strategies, typically used to optimize a Daily or Weekly run.

Rad Starving is the most unique and refers to intentionally avoiding leveling up by not picking up Radiation/using Active. This is usually done to avoid the drawback of Crown of Destiny after getting the free Mutation or to exploit the Mutation order on Dailies/Weeklies.

Rat Starving refers to allowing to spawn as many as possible for more kills/Pickups.
Similar strategies exist for other Enemies with spawn limits, such as Hunter Starving for I.D.P.D. spawns and Fly Starving for spawns.

Trashtalk

The fictional language created by Joonas Turner that most of the mutants and some enemies such as speak.

Tunneling

A strategy involving making cover by breaking walls. Hammerhead and most Explosives can inherently do this, but some weapons such as the Energy Hammer, Devastator, Super Plasma Cannon and Ultra Crossbow can also do this.

Xless

Used to refer to a character without a certain Mutation, such as Buttless Eyes for without , Skinless Rebel for without and Faceless Plant for without .

Ultra/Ultras

Typically used to refer to Ultra Mutations but may also refer to Ultra Weapons or Nuclear Throne Ultra Mod.

UX

Used to refer to Ultra Weapons, such as UShovel being Ultra Shovel, URevolver being Ultra Revolver, and UBow being Ultra Crossbow.

Yeti

A notoriously rare easter egg that can spawn in Frozen City briefly.
