Clayborn are articial beings created by The Sculptor with clay, human bone, and Ichor. Clayborn can be made apropo of nothing but are generally based on existing humans.
Clayborn were first created en masse to supplement King Drahan's army against an invasion. Since then, most clayborn have become Cleft and have lost their minds to a hunger for human bones. Pristines, like Grey Irma, were created to hunt these wayward clayborn. Few humans remain and clayborn dominate the lands.
