Upgrading only reduces the cost.

Very useful for playing power cards multiple times. Unlike Unlocked Mind, Echo is played after the power, so you don't have to have both echo and the power in hand before you can play the power.

Echo has many useful cards it works with, such as Slam for an easy escape, Oil to stack more Burn, or Full-On Attack to go on the offensive.

Because it is so low commitment, it is usually safe to take a copy even before adding any exhaust cards to the deck.
