Virus.mod is a joke mod for Nuclear Throne Together created by Pattie Hux Murray. As the mod page correctly states, Virus is not malware.

Every time you press the buttons for firing, using your Active ability or swapping weapons a check is ran.

If the check succeeds, one of 24 sounds from Five Nights at Freddy's will play. These consist of randomly occurring ambiance, sounds of cameras glitching out, animatronic footsteps, "robotvoice", Foxy's running sounds, the game over sound, groaning from when an animatronic is in the office, the Night 5 phone call and the Five Nights at Freddy's 2 "alarm" sound from when an animatronic is in the office hallway.

At a varying time after this point a poorly green-screened Withered Foxy from Five Nights at Freddy's 2 will jumpscare the player(s) with an accompanying sound as the screen shakes. This does not directly affect gameplay, but it may startle you and briefly block vision.
