I only Corrupt Villagers that sit next to me. My Corruption does not skip over non-Villagers, and it does not affect Outcasts or Evil roles.

Strategy

The Pooka can be among the more difficult Demons to deal with due to the large amount of misinformation she creates within the village. Remember that both of her neighbours will Lie if they are Villagers - be careful what information you trust when Pooka is within your village.

Pooka can be located if you can identify who is Corrupted due to her ability. The Bard is the best role for doing this, but be careful to make sure that he isn't Lying or Corrupted. Also note that, since Pooka doesn't Corrupt Outcasts, an adjacent Doppelganger will still yield truthful information - be wary of this!

Trivia

• Pooka's ability is derived from the ability of No Dashii. This is a Demon featured in Blood on the Clocktower, this game's biggest inspiration, and their ability reads "Each night*, choose a player: they die. Your 2 Townsfolk neighbors are poisoned." In fact, like the No Dashii, her ability used to skip over non-Villagers to Corrupt the closest Villager to her in each direction.
• Similarly, Pooka's name is derived from Pukka (another Demon featured in Blood on the Clocktower) and Púca (a demon in various folklores around the world).
• Pooka's hand used to be green instead of yellow.
