Lying and Corruption

A lying character will give false info and their abilities will not work.

  • Certain characters, such as Bishop, lie in a specific way as described by their hints.
  • Lying characters MUST give false info and cannot tell the truth unless otherwise stated. It is possible for certain characters to tell partial truths, ex. A lover can lie by saying there is one evil adjacent to her when there are actually two.

Unless otherwise stated, all “Evil” aligned characters will lie.

Certain abilities, such as the Poisoner, will corrupt characters.

  • Corrupted characters will lie and their abilities will not work.

Disguised

As defined by the game, disguising means a character will pretend to be a different role.

  • The disguised character will act as though they have the ability of the role they are disguising as.
  • Unless the character disguising is stated to lie or is corrupted their ability will work as if they were that character.
Ex. Doppelganger will disguise as a good character and have their ability work since they are not stated to lie.

A character telling the truth will see through a character’s disguise and state the disguising character's true alignment and character type.
Ex. A good character that is telling the truth will see the doppelganger as a “Good Doppelganger” instead of the role they are disguising as.
