Other Info

I add an Outcast to the deck and turn a Villager into an Outcast at the start of the round. I am always adjacent to the Outcast I created.

Strategy

The Counsellor can be a tough Minion to deal with. When fighting them, there are two things to remember:

  • The Outcast count in the top right corner will be incorrect. It shows the number of Outcasts before character abilities activate, so the actual count will be 1 higher than what it shows.
  • The Counsellor always sits next to an Outcast.

At the start of the game, it's best to treat the Counsellor as you would a Minion or Twin Minion. Once you've Revealed most of the cards, you can usually get a good idea of where most Outcasts sit and, by extension, where the Counsellor sits. Be wary of Outcasts that Disguise such as the Doppelganger and Drunk, as the Counsellor can sit next to them and conceal their position this way.

Remember that, like every other role in the game, under normal circumstances, only 1 of each Outcast may be in-play at any given time. The Counsellor does not create an exception. If there's two characters claiming to be the same Outcast, one is Lying.
