Very useful for applying and benefiting from effects such as bleed and burn.
Can be used for very long combos when combined with a dagger and Killer Instinct, as hitting with Jab adds a Jab to the discard pile, which makes it more likely to draw another Jab when you draw with Killer Instinct.
Contrary to the card description, you do not actually have to deal damage to activate Jab's effect, as it will activate when hitting damage immune enemies. It does not activate when attacking an enemy with precognition.
Multihit power attacks add multiple jabs to the discard pile.
When using Jab as a primary source of damage, it is better to rely on defensive options such as power moves and cards with retain that do not rely on being drawn, because as the deck is filled with Jabs it will be more difficult to reliably draw important defensive cards.
