Protective Ward+ is the only card in the game that heals.
Because it only costs 1 and is exhausted when played, Protective ward can easily be added to most decks. Unfortunately, its impact is typically very low for most decks because using its effect requires getting hit the turn you draw it.
Protective Ward is useful in Block decks to help build up Block faster than enemies can deal damage.
Magic Shield will reduce the damage from spiky enemies.
Magic Shield will not reduce damage taken from Burn or HP lost from cards and weapons that cost HP to use.
